Experienced Real Estate Attorney – Paragon Title / Rothstein & Associates

Paragon Title, an independent and family-run title company with over 43 years in the industry, is seeking a veteran real estate attorney to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a deep understanding of title insurer underwriting requirements, concentrated experience in navigating residential real estate transactions and the ability to serve as a resource for our attorneys, clients, and real estate agents. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on the GCAAR Sales Contract and Addenda and provide including transaction situation management support for real estate agents and their clients.
• Act as a primary resource on title insurer underwriting requirements for DC, Maryland, and Virginia, offering expert insights and guidance to resolve title issues.
• Review and analyze title abstracts and surveys, and navigate land, plat, and zoning records in DC, Maryland, and Virginia to address and resolve title matters efficiently.
• Conduct both in-person and online real estate closings, ensuring a smooth and compliant process for all parties involved.
• Prepare training material and conduct agent training during Paragon Title educational events.
• Provide critical training to inhouse staff.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 15 years of experience in real estate law, with a strong track record of working with title insurers and underwriting matters in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Admission to the DC and Maryland Bars (Virginia Bar admission is a plus).

Preferred/Bonus Experience:

Familiarity with commercial real estate transactions, including close collaboration with title insurers, borrowers’ counsel, and lenders’ counsel to negotiate mutually acceptable title insurance policy terms.
Experience representing buyers or sellers in property transactions, with the ability to address transactional issues effectively.
